For Loire Valley Wines, the United States is the leading export market in both value and volume. LVW occupies the largest volume share in exported French wines (8.3%), which accounts for almost twice their average in other markets.
The growth of demand in the United States is continuous, for both PDOs and PGIs, for all wine varieties. White wines (75% of total volume) tend to stay consistent despite a slow down of positive trends in recent months. The same can be said for both red and rosé wines, each with particularly notable growth of Loire Valley IGP (+ 54.6%) and Rosé-d’Anjou (+ 29.3%).
In the category of fine bubbles, the Crémant-de-Loire also continues its positive development (+ 8.9%).
