From New York to San Diego, stopping by Chicago and San Francisco, Loire Lovers have tasted the colorful palette of wines that the region offers this year.

The year started with the 4th Edition of Spring to Loire and over 400 persons came to one of the three walk around tastings that were organized across the USA (NY, IL and CA).
To keep you cool during the summer, Loire wine tastings were available in 33 stores in New York, Illinois and California. 115 white and rosés wines were showcased. As you loved these tastings so much and we knew you wanted to find the perfect bottle for Thanksgiving, fall tastings to discover the reds from region were in 32 stores from the East to the West Coast. Did you have the chance to stop by, taste, and learn about one of them?

We like to think that Loire wines are friendly, so what best than gathering wine friends around a few bottles and talk about it? That’s what we did this year in July and November. 10 influencers from the fabulous wine world connected on Twitter and had a “wine chat” for an hour using #LoireLovers. The conversation was lead by the sommelier Christy Canterbury (@canterburywine). Almost 1M of accounts were reached and there were more than 11,5 M of impressions.

On October, 400 New Yorkers savored 9 wines at the Edible Escape event at Pier A while enjoying a beautiful sunset over the Lady Liberty.
To end the year, Loire made its last stop in San Diego for the Somm Con event and the San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival.

At Somm Con, 40 sommeliers participated to the Loire seminar about the ripeness and the ageing of the red grapes in the Loire Valley presented by Christopher Lavin. Then more than 270 persons from the trade enjoyed a 3-courses lunch that were paired with 6 Loire Valley wines. Finally, trade members and wine enthusiasts had the occasion to taste and learn about the Loire wine at the Trade Tasting.

Finally, la Jolla people got the chance to discover a selection of 5 wines at the San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival that took place on the Embarcadero Marina Park while enjoying a perfect sunny day with its ocean breeze.

That’s a wrap for this year, but if you missed the chance to taste the Loire wines, no problem, next year there will be more (and if you don’t believe us, just check the next news)!
